Secluded 3 BR House on Somes Sound! [Sound View]

The house was beautiful and had a very private lot. The location is close enough to the local attractions but remote enough that it gave us the peace that we were looking for. We will be back.

The home itself is very nice, two decks to hang out on outside was perfect. There is a little winding path down to the ocean, lots of little stumps along the way which made it rough for little feet or people who need assistance walking. Surprise ping pong table in the basement which the kids loved. Would have been helpful to have some extra linens even if it was a couple of extra towels, as well as a welcome binder with the basic info reposted for the rental, information clearly outlining trash and sorting, along with tips and ideas for things to do around the island.

Wonderful home close to Acadia!

This is a beautiful home. Whoever built it, put a lot of love and thought into the design. It’s extremely comfortable. We were only a party of 3 and we used the master en-suite and the 2 upstairs bedrooms. There was AC in every bedroom and we all slept well. The house is equipped with everything you need, including in the kitchen.The house is a 5 minute drive to the Acadia Mountain trail and we hiked up, clockwise. There are amazing views up there.

This house was beautiful! We loved the location on Somes Sound. It was a short walk down to the water where you could explore the coast a bit. The house itself was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed. The furniture, especially the beds, were great! We happen to be there during some very hot weather. The two upstairs bedrooms have AC but the main level does not. They dropped off a few extra fans that were helpful but it did get warm in the house during those 90 degree days. Other than that, we really loved this house!
